Does anyone have any good examples of religious persecution?

In the south (Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia) Christian groups persecute s. And persecution of African-Americans/blacks is quite common. Hating on Hispanics is a new sport they enjoy.
